We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Intern to help expand our network of investors, issuers, and brokers. This role involves generating opportunities, managing relationships, and researching market trends in the Canadian real estate sector. You will play a key role in driving Smart Capital’s growth by identifying, engaging, and nurturing strategic partnerships. Key responsibilities include:
Lead Generation and Outreach:
Proactively identify and connect with potential investors, issuers, and brokers using LinkedIn, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google, and other innovative tools.
Develop and implement outreach strategies to build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality leads.
CRM Management:
Build and maintain a structured CRM database of leads and existing contacts, ensuring accurate tracking of interactions, follow-ups, and deal progress.
Analyze CRM data to identify trends, prioritize high-potential opportunities, and refine outreach strategies.
Market Research:
Conduct research on the Canadian real estate market to identify relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Leverage these opportunities to establish meaningful connections and uncover new business opportunities.
Relationship Management:
Foster and nurture relationships with prospective and existing partners through consistent communication and personalized engagement.
Prepare presentations, pitch materials, and follow-up communications to support relationship-building efforts.
Strategic Analysis:
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and potential partnership opportunities to inform business development strategies.
Propose new approaches and tools to optimize Smart Capital’s reach and impact.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: You are proactive, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce), and other lead generation tools.
Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages and presentations.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Curious and Resourceful: A natural researcher with a knack for finding creative solutions and new tools.
Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.
Interest in Real Estate: A passion for the real estate sector or startups is a strong plus.
Real-World Experience: Work on meaningful projects that directly impact the company’s growth.
