Overview

• Digital Africa (a subsidiary of Proparco, AFD - Agence Française de Développement Group) is hiring an intern for its Venture Capital / Investment team based in Paris.
• The fund backs African tech startups at the Pre-Seed and Seed stages with tickets ranging from €20K to €100K.

Main responsibilities

• Cover the full investment cycle including screening and analysis of startup applications, financial modeling, market studies, and competitive monitoring.
• Portfolio follow-up and support to entrepreneurs; write summary notes on the African tech ecosystem; contribute to the communications team's content.
• Interns attend investment committee meetings and are involved in decision-making from day one.

Profile & requirements

• Any academic or professional background is welcome, provided it demonstrates a genuine interest in early-stage investing.
• Prior experience in VC, investment banking, or entrepreneurship is a plus; a valid internship agreement (convention de stage) is mandatory.

Practical info & compensation

• Location: Paris.
• Duration: 6 months (position starts September 2026) — compensation: €1,200 gross/month plus Navigo pass and lunch vouchers.
