Job Description: Data Scientist at Orbital

Join Orbital, a deep-tech startup in the construction phase. We are building an augmented analytics platform, orchestrated by intelligent agents, that enables any company to create descriptive and predictive analyses in natural language.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the founders to build a platform used by real clients within days
• Structure data pipelines and ML models in real-world conditions
• Contribute to end-to-end client demos and POCs
• Set up data pipelines: ingestion, cleaning, enrichment
• Structure data schemas for automated analysis
• Create ML models (classification, regression, clustering, time-series) using PyCaret or other libraries
• Build demonstration scenarios for prospects and clients
• Evaluate and improve existing models: feature engineering, tuning, interpretability
• Test and provide feedback on the Orbital platform
• Stay updated on data trends and suggest concrete improvements to analytical workflows

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning techniques
• Experience with PyCaret or similar ML libraries
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Prior experience in building data pipelines and structuring data schemas
• Knowledge of feature engineering and model tuning
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
