Overview

• Project reference: ssdo2526 — Development of the server-side application for an E-commerce and furniture delivery system that will be linked to applications and dashboards.
• Objective: implement a robust backend to manage products, orders, delivery logistics and real-time position tracking, and expose these features to mobile/web clients and admin dashboards.

Tools & Environment

• Primary technologies: Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB.
• Infrastructure and workflow: Docker for containerization and Git for version control; design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and deployment.

Responsibilities

• RESTful API development: design, implement and document secure, well-versioned REST endpoints for product/catalog, ordering, delivery and user management.
• Real-time features: implement complex features such as real-time position tracking for delivery (socket or similar), status updates and live notifications.
• CI/CD & DevOps: build continuous integration and deployment infrastructure (automated tests, container builds, staging/production deployments).
• Documentation & collaboration: produce developer documentation and API docs; work collaboratively in a small team (3-4 developers).

Team & Duration

• Team size: 3-4 developers working on backend and integration with applications/dashboards.
• Duration: 6 months (4-6 months expected for PFE placement).

Deliverables & Expectations

• Deliver a production-ready server-side application, containerized with Docker and deployable via the created CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide API documentation, deployment instructions and a short report/demonstration for project defense.
