Project overview
- Design, develop and implement a pilot digital workflow to replace a critical internal paper-based process in the Shopfloor Operations Department.
- Scope includes process mapping, selection of appropriate digital tools, testing the pilot on shopfloor, and creation of training materials for operators.
Main responsibilities / tasks
- Conduct detailed process mapping with operators and process teams to capture current paper-based work instructions and production forms.
- Evaluate and select suitable digitalization tools (digital work instructions, digital forms, data capture systems), implement a pilot solution and run tests on the shopfloor.
Expected results / deliverables
- Standardized digital Work Instructions replacing existing paper instructions.
- Digital forms for quality checks, traceability and production reporting; a tool selection report with justification.
- Training documents for operators and a pilot implementation report including observed impacts on quality, FPY, documentation accuracy and productivity.
Candidate profile / skills
- Profile: IT Engineer (as listed); background in industrial/production environments or industrial engineering is advantageous.
- Skills: familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, digital work instruction platforms or MES/HMI, process mapping, stakeholder communication, and the ability to produce operator training materials.
Practical information
- Duration: 4-6 months (PFE topic).
- Involves hands-on collaboration with operators and process teams; direct measurable impact on shopfloor quality and productivity.
