Project overview

  • Design, develop and implement a pilot digital workflow to replace a critical internal paper-based process in the Shopfloor Operations Department.
  • Scope includes process mapping, selection of appropriate digital tools, testing the pilot on shopfloor, and creation of training materials for operators.

Main responsibilities / tasks

  • Conduct detailed process mapping with operators and process teams to capture current paper-based work instructions and production forms.
  • Evaluate and select suitable digitalization tools (digital work instructions, digital forms, data capture systems), implement a pilot solution and run tests on the shopfloor.

Expected results / deliverables

  • Standardized digital Work Instructions replacing existing paper instructions.
  • Digital forms for quality checks, traceability and production reporting; a tool selection report with justification.
  • Training documents for operators and a pilot implementation report including observed impacts on quality, FPY, documentation accuracy and productivity.

Candidate profile / skills

  • Profile: IT Engineer (as listed); background in industrial/production environments or industrial engineering is advantageous.
  • Skills: familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, digital work instruction platforms or MES/HMI, process mapping, stakeholder communication, and the ability to produce operator training materials.

Practical information

  • Duration: 4-6 months (PFE topic).
  • Involves hands-on collaboration with operators and process teams; direct measurable impact on shopfloor quality and productivity.
