Description du poste

Project summary

  • Design and develop an electronic board for the EyeFish IoT system intended for marine environments. The board will perform multi-sensor data acquisition, embedded digital filtering and processing, and communication with the cloud.
  • Ensure energy management, electrical robustness and reliability in marine conditions, followed by prototyping and environmental testing of a functional prototype.

Main objectives & tasks

  • Define the electronic architecture of the board and select appropriate microcontrollers and peripherals compatible with the EyeFish system.
  • Produce the electronic schematic and develop the PCB (layout and manufacturing files). Integrate analog acquisition circuits for multiple sensors.
  • Implement firmware to acquire, filter and process sensor data, handle communications protocols and manage power; test compatibility with EyeFish and perform multi-test verification.

Technical stack & required skills

  • Analog & digital electronics design; PCB design using Altium.
  • Experience with STM32 microcontrollers and embedded programming in C/C++ or MicroPython.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, RS485 and basic IoT fundamentals (cloud communication, data transmission).
  • Basic signal processing (embedded digital filtering) and techniques for electrical robustness in marine environments.

Deliverables & testing

  • Complete electronic schematic, PCB design files, BOM and assembly notes; documented firmware source code and build instructions.
  • Test procedures and reports: environmental testing results, electrical robustness tests, and functional validation with the EyeFish system; presentation of a working prototype.

Intern responsibilities

  • Implement analog acquisition circuits, perform PCB layout and collaborate on prototyping and bench tests.
  • Develop and validate embedded firmware: drivers for sensors and communications, embedded filtering/processing and power management routines.
  • Document schematic, PCB, firmware and test procedures; present the final functional prototype to the team.

Additional expectations

  • Perform integration tests with the EyeFish platform and iterate on hardware/software issues discovered during environmental testing.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure manufacturability, reliability and compliance with marine deployment constraints.
