Project Overview
Develop an AI-powered Virtual Student Advisor chatbot to answer common questions about studying abroad, test registration (SAT, TOEFL, IELTS), scholarships, and academic programs.
Final product must be integrated into Eddium's website and WhatsApp platforms and support real user interactions.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Identify and catalog the most common student questions to define chatbot intents and scenarios.
Design detailed conversation flows and implement natural language processing (NLP) capabilities to handle varied user inputs.
Deploy the chatbot for integration into a website and a messaging platform (WhatsApp) and ensure reliable connectivity.
Conduct rigorous testing for conversation accuracy and response quality, including edge cases and fallback strategies.
Technical Implementation
Use Python as the primary language and implement conversational logic with Dialogflow or Rasa.
Create a backend using Flask and integrate with WhatsApp API and website front-end (HTML/CSS).
Use Firebase for data storage as needed and Git for version control and collaboration.
Dashboard & Monitoring
Build a monitoring dashboard to track chatbot interactions, performance metrics, and user satisfaction indicators.
Implement logging and analytics to measure intent recognition accuracy, conversation success rates, and common failure scenarios.
Deliverables
A deployed chatbot integrated into Eddium's website and WhatsApp.
Conversation design documentation, intent catalogs, and NLP model configuration files.
A dashboard for monitoring interactions and a comprehensive technical documentation report with future improvement recommendations.
Expectations & Internship Details
Duration: 3 to 5 months (internship for 1 intern).
Strong interest/experience in NLP, conversational design, and web integrations is expected.
Regular progress updates and final technical report required.
