Backend Intern @ Hi Interns

We’re expanding our platform and looking for a backend intern to help us build features centered around data scraping, automation, and backend services. If you enjoy working with external data, streamlining workflows, and building APIs that support real product features, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be working on:

• Developing backend services that extract and process data from various online sources.

• Automating the scraping and integration of external information into internal systems.

• Collaborating with our backend developer on system design and implementation.

• Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with backend development using a modern programming language.

• Familiarity with scraping and transforming data from external websites or APIs.

• Solid understanding of API design and data flow between systems.

Bonus points:

• Experience with low-code or automation tools.

• Ability to work independently and adapt existing solutions.

• Understanding of asynchronous workflows and event-driven architecture (e.g. webhooks).

• Comfortable iterating quickly and delivering functional features in short timeframes.
