Overview

• Implement an ergonomic and secure software solution that covers the entire lifecycle of improvement ideas, from collection to recognition of contributors.
• Project assigned to the Continuous Improvement department for one intern (Number of Interns: 01 Intern). Duration: 06 Months.

Objectives and Main Tasks

• Database Design and Implementation: design the relational data model to store ideas, users, scoring, workflows, points and recognition records.
• Develop front-end forms for idea submission and interfaces for reviewers/approvers; implement back-end logic for scoring, workflows and a points system.

Required Skills & Technologies

• Programming knowledge: VBA/Excel, general web stack (HTML/CSS/JS), Python or Java — ability to prototype and implement front-end and back-end components.
• Database design and management: SQL and relational databases; basic understanding of workflow automation.

Functional Deliverables

• End-to-end submission flow: user-friendly form(s) for idea capture, attachments and categorization.
• Back-end modules to handle scoring, routing/approval workflows, points accumulation and contributor recognition rules.

Dashboards, Reporting & Metrics

• Create dashboards and reporting modules to visualize idea pipeline, status breakdown, scoring distributions and contributor rankings.
• Implement exportable reports (CSV/Excel) and summary views for management review.

Security, User Management & Quality

• Implement user authentication/authorization and role-based access (submitter, reviewer, approver, admin).
• Ensure data integrity, input validation, secure storage of sensitive fields and audit trails for idea lifecycle events.

Documentation, Training & Handover

• Provide technical documentation (architecture, database schema, API/endpoints, install/run steps) and user manuals for end users.
• Prepare training materials and deliver at least one training session for administrators and users.
