Description du poste

Overview

  • Develop a custom assembly jig to improve precision, repeatability and ergonomics in a manual assembly process.
  • Project within Department: Methods. Number of trainees: 1.

What you will do

  • Conceive and detail the jig concept using CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or similar).
  • Produce detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings and a Bill of Materials ready for prototyping.
  • Build and/or supervise prototype manufacturing using appropriate processes (machining, 3D printing, sheet metal).
  • Validate the jig through hands-on tests: measure repeatability, precision and ergonomic improvements in the target assembly operation.

Required expertise and skills

  • Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals (mechanisms, tolerancing, fit and assembly principles).
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor or similar) for part and assembly modeling.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes: machining, 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication and basic fixture-making techniques.

Validation and deliverables

  • Deliver CAD files, manufacturing drawings and a documented Bill of Materials.
  • Provide a validation report including test methods, measurement results (precision and repeatability), and ergonomic assessment.
  • Recommend adjustments and a production-ready design based on test feedback.

Application

  • To apply, send your CV and a brief cover note to hr@bakomotors.com.
  • Use the subject line: "Application — 20 Design and Validation of an Assembly Jig PFE".
