Join the L’Oréal Experience

At L’Oréal, your potential is what makes the difference. It drives everything: it shows when you are authentic, grows when you are enterprising, and comes to life when you recognize the impact you have on the world. In a stimulating environment, you can develop and push back your limits.

Join our Sourcing teams! Our Apprenticeships are made for you!

When Antoine arrives at work, his phone rings — it’s Morgan in Marketing in the United States calling to discuss a current tender. The project involves equipping all retail stores with 3D-printers for personalized products. After this call, there is no time to lose; Antoine joins his team to meet a new supplier to explore a potential collaboration on an innovative project.

As Antoine, you dream of learning how a Sourcing role works in an innovation-led company. Joining L’Oréal means discovering a true industrial organization delivering more than 7 billion products worldwide every year.

By joining the Purchasing teams, you will dive into Operations, whose roles contribute to L’Oréal’s growth — from product development, sourcing, production to distribution of all Group products. As an ally of the brands, Operations continually develops and seeks the most agile, innovative, efficient, and responsible solutions to meet the diverse needs of consumers. You will also participate in the Solidarity Sourcing program, a cornerstone of our Purchasing strategy.

More precisely, you will have the chance to work within one of our wide variety of purchasing areas:

Direct Purchasing

  • Raw materials: Various raw materials are used in the composition of formulas and the manufacture of products: polymers, natural ingredients, perfumes, sun filters, vitamins, etc. L’Oréal sources its raw materials from specialist suppliers committed to quality and safety.
  • Packaging: Packaging protects and enhances the product. For L’Oréal, it is essential that packaging is innovative and environmentally friendly.
  • Contract Manufacturing: In addition to in-house plants, the Group uses subcontracting companies for packaging or the manufacture of specific finished products (soaps, pencils, wipes, etc.) and for logistics services.

Indirect Purchasing

  • Retail & Promotion: Promotion of products is a strategic area of communication for L’Oréal brands. Point-of-sale advertising and promotional items are key to winning over consumers. This includes multi-material POS displays (metal, plastic, wood, etc.), cardboard displays, boxes, printing, and consumer gift accessories (luggage, textiles, accessories, etc.).
  • Marketing Services: Complementing Retail and Promo, Marketing Services help make products known and support the consumer at the point of sale. This includes creative agencies, post-production, advertising space, and market research, including digital media.
  • Business Services: Various expenses are essential to the smooth running and development of the Group. These general and administrative costs cover Human Resources, Consulting, IT & Telecom, Facility Management & Utilities, Travel, Events, etc. This Purchasing area handles all expenses for L’Oréal sites worldwide.
  • Industrial and Devices: To equip and operate production lines worldwide, L’Oréal works daily with suppliers of equipment, packaging machinery, and industrial utilities.
  • Excellence Team: The Excellence Team defines the global purchasing strategy while working on cross-area projects. These teams focus on tools and projects ensuring international alignment of purchasing practices.

Depending on your area of Purchasing, here are some examples of missions you may carry out:

  • Develop purchasing initiatives to optimize costs and create value
