Project overview / Objective
- Build a custom purchase-request application using Microsoft Power Apps to allow employees to submit purchase requests online easily.
- Automate the approval workflow with Power Automate: route requests to appropriate approvers, send notifications, and track request status in real time.
- Generate purchase orders automatically once requests are approved and centralize all procurement data for transparency and auditability.
- Provide management with real-time Power BI dashboards showing requests, approvals, departmental spend, and supplier performance.
Key responsibilities / Technical tasks
- Produce a complete application specification and define the solution architecture aligned with M365 Power Platform.
- Develop a Power Apps prototype implementing submission forms, validation rules, and user roles.
- Implement approval flows with Power Automate (routing, notifications, escalation rules) and ensure PO generation and data logging.
- Design Power BI reports and dashboards for management KPIs (requests, approval times, spend per department, supplier metrics).
- Test end-to-end flows, handle integrations with existing systems (if required), and document the solution and deployment steps.
Expected deliverables & Results
- Deliverables: complete application specification and architecture document, and a working M365 Power Platform prototype.
- Expected process improvements: reduced waiting times, reduced paper usage, shortened processing lead time, improved traceability and decision-making.

Profile & skills sought
- IT Engineering student with experience or strong interest in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and solution architecture.
- Good understanding of business process automation, procurement workflows, and data reporting/visualization.
- Skills in requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, and technical documentation are highly valued.
