Jest testing

The Jest Tester Intern will assist the app development team in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through comprehensive testing using the Jest testing framework. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in software testing and quality assurance within a professional development environment. The intern will work closely with the development team to execute test cases, report bugs, and contribute to the overall improvement of the application's functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to understand application features, requirements, and user scenarios.
• Execute test cases using the Jest testing framework to identify defects and ensure proper functionality of software applications.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform manual testing to verify the accuracy of software functionality, user interfaces, and data integrity.
• Report and document software defects and issues in a clear and concise manner.
• Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of issues identified during testing. Contribute to the development of automated test scripts using Jest for repetitive test cases. Support continuous integration and delivery processes by ensuring test scripts are integrated into the software development pipeline. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of quality software releases. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in software testing, quality assurance, and software development.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and web technologies.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Jest testing framework or other testing frameworks is a plus, but not required.
• Prior experience with programming or web development is beneficial but not required.
