We're looking for highly talented and motivated students with a real passion for data to join us as summer interns within our Data Science team. This internship program is designed for students that want to pursue a career in Data Science.

You will be part of a high-growth software company. Our program was designed so interns can grow their skill sets, do meaningful work, and have a lot of fun along the way! Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to a wide range of Cognira’s tools, techniques, and technologies and have the opportunity to gain credible experience and learning This internship will entirely be in-person for you to get an in-depth experience of the company's culture and be more involved throughout your tenure. Duration: 6-8 weeks.

Responsibilities

You will help us apply a wide range of statistical and quantitative analyses in practical and valuable ways You will be processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis You will be creating models and implementing innovative forecast solutions Perform detailed data analysis to validate that models conform to expectations Conduct tuning analysis to support development and configuration decisions Present progress to the science team to get feedback and learn storytelling techniques from experts. Learn and work with subject matter experts

Required experience and skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills including mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
• Excellent academics in Comp. Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Research, or a related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including reports and presentations
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Collaborative attitude, willingness to share and use best ideas
• Persistent, focused, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented
• Knowledge of the retail industry is a plus
